Join Kirstie McPherson, who will introduce you to the concept of 'town flipping,' a community-focused redevelopment strategy that makes major economic and societal transitions possible in rural areas.

In this session, she shares her innovative approach to community redevelopment and the complex process of transitioning economies - particularly those heavily reliant on single industries.

Kirstie McPherson is a Behavioral Economist whose primary focus is transitioning economies in Single-Industry towns by working with their redevelopment strategies and communication programs. Kirstie's approach champions the value of community, acknowledging the importance of creating spaces that support both current cultures and future aspirations, all while respecting the history of these communities. She is also the founder of The Find and 518 Wine Bar in Craig, Loveland, and Meeker, Colorado.

The discussion will also explore the advantages of revitalizing small communities, such as lower living and real estate costs and lower entry barriers for business development. Kirstie will also touch on the importance of partnerships with local economic development agencies and utilizing resources like SBA loans to spur growth.

This session is for anyone interested in economic development, community transformation, and the potential of small-town entrepreneurship to drive meaningful social change.
